Plunderbird 3 Plunderstorm

Plunderbird 3 or Plunderstorm as it became known, was a very good robot, but never got the chance to show its performance. It had a small fault, in that a small nut had become lose, stopping a microswitch from activating, and so one track could not move.

The shell is made by a flat piece of mild steel, cut with a laser cutter, and then bent into shape with a 500 ton press. This gives a very solid construction, able to flex slightly to absorb impacts.
